Terms of Service

By using Lifesound you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. What Lifesound is

Lifesound is a mobile app that lets you capture, share, and discover sound moments linked to real places on a map.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old to use Lifesound.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• You may not use another person's account without their permission.

3. Content you post

• You retain ownership of all audio recordings and content you post.
• By posting content you grant Lifesound a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and distribute it within the app.
• You must not post content that is illegal, harmful, harassing, or infringes third-party rights.
• We reserve the right to remove content that violates these terms.

4. Prohibited uses

• Recording people without their consent where legally required.
• Using the app to harass, stalk, or harm others.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer or scrape the app.
• Creating fake accounts or impersonating others.

5. Privacy

Your use of Lifesound is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Public moments

Moments you mark as public are visible to all Lifesound users and may appear in shared links. Moments you mark as private are visible only to you.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep Lifesound available at all times but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify or discontinue features at any time with reasonable notice.

8. Copyright and intellectual property

Lifesound respects intellectual property rights and expects users to do the same. You must not upload content that infringes third-party copyrights, including music, recordings, or other protected works.

Lifesound is designed for capturing ambient sound moments of everyday life. Incidental, brief capture of background music in a public setting may be covered by applicable exceptions, but deliberate recording and uploading of copyrighted music or performances is not permitted.

Copyright takedown requests (DMCA / Article 17): If you believe content on Lifesound infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to copyright@lifesound.app including: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing content and its location in the app; (3) your contact details; (4) a statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorised; (5) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act on behalf of the rights holder. We will respond promptly and remove infringing content where required by law.

9. Limitation of liability

Lifesound is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Spain.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use of Lifesound after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
